The Free Hemoglobin Test measures the concentration of unbound hemoglobin in the plasma. Free hemoglobin occurs when red blood cells are destroyed and hemoglobin is released into the blood. This test is used to diagnose conditions involving hemolysis, such as hemolytic anemia, transfusion reactions, or muscle tissue damage. High levels of free hemoglobin may indicate increased red blood cell destruction or severe damage to the circulatory system.

Thrombin Time (TT) or Thrombin Clotting Time (TCT) test measures the time it takes for Fibrinogen to convert to Fibrin in the blood, thereby assessing the body's ability to clot blood. This test helps assess blood clotting function, especially problems related to Fibrinogen concentration or abnormal Fibrinogen function. In addition, this test also allows monitoring treatment in patients using anticoagulants or undergoing surgery.
